The Commission Process
Medium and Size: First thing is to decide the medium (oil painting / digital artwork) and best size canvas for your custom project. At this time I am only accepting commissions for digital works or paintings 12" x 24" and larger.
Inspiration: I’d appreciate any inspiration that you could provide - any of my past works that inspire you? Screenshots / Photographs of the charts or graphs you may want to turn into a ChartScape? Any particular colours you’d like to work with?
Sketch: I start with 2-3 digital sketch options for your piece, to give you an idea of what I have in mind and make sure we are on the same page. Once we agree, the final artwork begins. At this point, I typically allow for 6-8 weeks for completion of each piece.
Pricing: Prices for commissioned pieces start at about US$1,000, and run about 15% more than ready artworks. This is to account for the time spent putting together a cohesive custom piece that encompasses your vision. A 50% deposit is required to begin, with the remaining balance, plus shipping (for physical pieces), due once your commission is complete.
